Madeleine Stowe, James Remar and Ian Ziering star in THE CHRISTMAS HOPE, a new World Premiere movie from Craig Anderson Productions and Beth Grossbard Productions to be broadcast on Lifetime Movie Network on December 13 (8:00PM/ET, 9:00PM/PT).  It’s the story of a social worker who bends the rules and takes in a special, recently orphaned child over the Christmas holidays.

THE CHRISTMAS HOPE is the third in a trilogy of television movies that are based on books by the New York Times best-selling author Donna VanLiere.  The first two movies, “The Christmas Shoes” and “The Christmas Blessing,” whose stories are intertwined with THE CHRISTMAS HOPE, will also be seen on December 13.  Those movies were previously broadcast on CBS and were the highest rated and second highest rated movies of the week for 2002 and 2005 respectively, and will precede the premiere of THE CHRISTMAS HOPE.

Stowe plays Patti Addison who puts her job at risk when she decides to bring home the little girl to give her a holiday to remember.  Though she and her husband are having a troubled time, both know that the joy of giving to the child in need will help their relationship as well.

The little girl’s presence and her penetrating questions about losing her mother, teach the Addison’s that there is no sorrow so great that hope cannot help them through and realize that she can also help them deal with a loss of their own.   Her healing affect brings the spirit and joy of the season back into all of their lives.

Remar plays Patti’s airline pilot husband, Mark.  Ziering plays a doctor who, unbeknownst to all of them, has an unexpected message from their deceased son.

THE CHRISTMAS HOPE was produced by Craig Anderson Productions and Beth Grossbard Productions.  Craig Anderson (“The Piano Lesson,” “On Golden Pond”) and Beth Grossbard (“The Christmas Shoes,” “Meltdown”) are the executive producers.  Norma Bailey (“Too Late to Say Goodbye,” “The Capture of the Green River Killer”) directed from a teleplay by Wesley Bishop (“On Thin Ice,” “Miracle of the 17th Green”).
