Palgrave Macmillan and the BABEL Working Group announce the launch of postmedieval: a journal of medieval cultural studies
Palgrave Macmillan announced today that it will launch a new journal in medieval cultural studies in collaboration with the BABEL Working Group, a collective of scholars in North America, the U.K., and Australia working to develop new cross-disciplinary alliances between the humanities, sciences, social sciences, and the arts. postmedieval will be co-edited by Eileen Joy (Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville) and Myra Seaman (College of Charleston). Holly Crocker (University of South Carolina) joins them as book reviews editor.

Radical Children's Literature by Kimberley Reynolds has won the 2007 Children's Literature Association Book Award
This honor is awarded annually by the Children's Literature Association to recognize outstanding book-length contributions to children's literature history, scholarship, and criticism. She will be receiving that award at the Association’s annual meeting in June to be held in Charlotte, NC.

The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics wins prestigious PROSE Award
The Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division (PSP) of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) named The New Palgrave Dictionary of Economics winner of the 2008 PROSE Award for Best Multi-Volume Reference Work in the Humanities and Social Sciences, at their special awards luncheon in Washington, DC on February 5, 2009.
