Chosen by the Lion is Linda Gregg's fourth collection of verse, and maybe her most eloquent, bespeaking a deeply personal reconciliation with the loss of love. Gregg is able to take common experience and see it clearly and honestly as well as poetically, to witness everyday life in all its ordinary yet telling complexity.

Linda Gregg

Linda Gregg was born in Marin County, California. She has taught at the University of Iowa, the University of Houston, and at numerous writers' conferences and workshops. Her books of poetry include Chosen By the Lion, Things and Flesh, The Sacraments of Desire, Alma, and Too Bright to See. Gregg has received many awards for her work, including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Whiting Award.
