Born in Holland in 1951, Charles de Lint grew up in Canada. Although his first novel was 1984's The Riddle of the Wren, it was with the now-classic Moonheart, published later that same year, that de Lint originally made his mark. His other widely celebrated novels include Dreams Underfoot, The Fair at Emain Macha, Into the Green, The Little Country, and Spiritwalk. Charles de Lint has also published several collections of short stories, including Moonlight and Vines, which won the World Fantasy Award.
