Alvin Schwartz

ALVIN SCHWARTZ (1927–1992) was a scholar of folklore who wrote many books for young readers, including The Cat’s Elbow, illustrated by Margot Zemach. DAVID CHRISTIANA is an associate professor at the University of Arizona School of Art and has illustrated numerous children’s books. He lives in Tucson, Arizona.
