Brenda Cooper, science fiction author, futurist, and tech executive discusses her novels with Glen Hiemstra, founder of Futurist.com. Her current novel series explores the interaction and conflict between biologically enhanced and "natural" humans as they colonize a distant world. The Silver Ship and the Sea won the Endeavor Award for best science fiction or fantasy novel released by a Northwest author in 2007, and her most recent novel, Reading the Wind, is the second book in the series.
