Cary Cooper

CARY COOPER is Distinguished Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health and Pro Vice Chancellor at Lancaster University, England. He was Founding Editor of the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Editor of Stress and Health, President of the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy, and Chair of the Sunningdale Institute in the UK's National School of Government. In 2009, he was elected as Chair of the Academy of Social Sciences. He is a Fellow of the British Academy of Management and also of the US-based Academy of Management. HR Magazine named him the "6th Most Influential Thinker in HR" in 2009. He was awarded the Lord Dearing Lifetime Achievement Award at the Times Higher Education Awards 2010.
