Daphne Du Maurier

Daphne du Maurier (1907-1989) was born in England and begun writing short stories and articles at the age of twenty-one. In 1969 she was made a Dame of the British Empire. Her other classic novels include The King's General, Jamaica Inn, The Flight of the Falcon, The House on the Strand, My Cousin Rachel and Frenchman's Creek.
