About the Author
Dave Anderson (1929-2018) worked for The New York Times for 41 years. He won a Pulitzer Prize for his sports writing and he wrote or co-wrote more than twenty books. In 2014, he received a PEN/ESPN Lifetime Achievement Award for Literary Sports Writing.
