About the Author
Illustrator Ed Renfro (1924-2012) served as a pilot in Europe during World War II . He used post-war education funding to obtain an art degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and worked as a freelance illustrator in first San Francisco and then New York. His work included Explorers Who Got Lost (Diane Dreher) and The City Witch & the Country Witch (Jay Williams). In addition to children's books, Renfro illustrated music albums and advertisements.
