Ian Douglas

Ian Douglas is Emeritus Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Manchester, UK. He has more than 40 years of research experience relating to changes in the urban environment, especially in relation the materials flows, urban hydrology and flooding, and urban geomorphology. He is Treasurer of the Scientific Committee on Problems of the Environment (SCOPE) for the International Council for Science (ICSU) and is on the editorial boards of Geographical Research, Land Degradation and Development and Catena.
