James K. Hazy

James K. Hazy, MBA, Ed.D. is Associate Professor of Management & Entrepreneurship at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.  He has authored over 20 articles and chapters in academic journals including The Leadership Quarterly, Emergence: Complexity & Organization and Nonlinear Dynamics, Psychology & Life Sciences and is the lead editor for the book Complex Systems Leadership Theory (2007). Dr. Hazy brings to his research over 25 years of senior executive experience, including more than 20 years at AT&T where, in his position as VP of Financial Planning and Analysis was responsible for budgets and plans for the company as well as being Director of Mergers and Acquisitions where he oversaw transactions valued up to $7 billion  At Ernst & Young, Dr. Hazy was the Executive Vice President and CFO of that firm’s e-Learning venture.  Since entering the academy three years ago, Dr. Hazy has organized two conferences and has been an invited speaker at the Center for Creative Leadership, The George Washington University Executive Leadership Program, The Augsburg Conference in Germany, and the Association for Psychological Sciences annual meeting.
