Jørgen Lorentzen

Jørgen Lorentzen is a Professor at the Center for Gender Research at University of Oslo, Norway. He has written several books and articles within the field of gender theory, cultural studies, literary analysis and masculinities, most recently Män i Norden: Manlighet och modernitet 1840-1940 [Nordic Men: Manliness and Modernity, 1840-1940]; Kjønnsforskning. En grunnbok [Gender Studies: An Introduction], and Maskulinitet [Masculinity]. He has been the project leader of several research projects, an active participant in gender debates all over the world, and a frequent speaker on issues relating to gender and masculinities.
