Judy Aulette

Katherine Carter has taught for the last ten years in Hungary, Cape Verde, Ethiopia, and Iraq.  Currently she is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Kurdistan-Hawler in Northern Iraq, where she teaches Introduction to Sociology, Social Inequalities, Sociology of Globalization, and Introduction to Ethnography.  She has published her research in various journals, anthologies, and popular magazines.

 

Judy Aulette is a professor in the Department of Sociology and the Women’s and Gender  Studies Program at UNCCharlotte where she teaches and writes about family, gender, women, and activism.  She was a Fulbright scholar to South Africa for two years where she became a friend and colleague with many African women and was introduced to the effects of Globalization and the work of the African women’s movement to address those challenges.
