Kathleen O'Neal Gear

Kathleen O'Neal Gear is a former state historian and archaeologist for Wyoming, Kansas, and Nebraska for the U.S. Department of the Interior. She has twice received the federal government's Special Achievement Award for "outstanding management" of our nation's cultural heritage. She lives in Thermopolis, WY.

History trivia: American kids are taught European history, but few of them know much about America’s prehistory: Moundville, AL was the largest city in North America in the 1300s.

The largest cities in England and France in the 1300s? London and Paris, respectively.
