About the Author

Norman Dietz has recorded over 100 audiobooks, and AudioFile magazine named him one of its "Best Voices of the Century," in a listing of what the editors called "the gold mine of talented narrators who have defined the craft." His work includes reading for authors such as Mark Twain, Patrick F. McManus, Muriel Barbery, and Jeffrey Rothfeder.  Of Dietz, Publishers Weekly has said, "One of the most recognizable voices in audiobooks…A legend (at least to audiobook listeners), Dietz offers the assurance of skill without grandstanding…His voice untouched by masculine bluster, [he] reads with smooth efficiency and understated authority." AudioFile Magazine awarded him a 2008 Best Voice in Biography & History Award for his narration of Touch and Go. Dietz is a writer, actor, and solo performer. For twenty-five years, he has toured coast to coast performing his own work.  He is the author of two books: Fables & Vaudevilles & Plays, and The Lifeguard and the Mermaid, collections of his work for the stage.  He has also performed frequently on radio and television.
