Sarah Blake was born in New York City. Her poetry and prose has appeared in The Threepenny Review, The Harvard Review, Good Housekeeping, and elsewhere. She is the author of the novels Grange House and The Postmistress. She is a graduate of Yale University and New York University, where she received her Ph.D. in Victorian literature. She lives in Evanston, Illinois.
