Stephen L. Quackenbush

Stephen L. Quackenbush is an associate professor of Political Science at the University of Missouri. His research focuses on international conflict, deterrence, and game theory. Specific areas of interest include bridging the divide between formal and quantitative studies of deterrence, the impact of conflict settlements and outcomes on recurrent conflict, identifying opportunity for international conflict, the impact of national missile defense on deterrence, and the bargaining model of war. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Politics, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Political Research Quarterly, Journal of Peace Research, International Interactions, Conflict Management and Peace Science, and Review of International Studies.
