Praise for My Tokyo

"In America today there is no one with [Seidel's] sheer ambition, comprehensive sense of our times, sophistication, nerve, and skill."--Lawrence Joseph, The Nation

"Seidel's Ninja-style attacks on innocent contentment would amount to little without the inspired malice and pathos of his inventions and procedures. He does not let the reader nod. His pacing is a precisely calculated torment . . . My Tokyo confirms Seidel's standing as one of the more formidable American poets of the last third of the century."--Calvin Bedient, Poetry
