  • Ed McBain’s writing career has spanned almost five decades, from his first novel, The Blackboard Jungle, in 1954 to the screenplay for Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds to his most recent novel, The Moment She was Gone. He is the first American ever to receive the Diamond Dagger, the British Crime Writers Association's highest award. He also holds the Mystery Writers of America's prestigious Grand Master Award. His most recent 87th Precinct novel was Money, Money, Money. Ed McBain, also known as Evan Hunter has lived in Weston, Connecticut with his wife Dragica for the last five years.

    Joyce Carol Oates is a recipient of the National Book Award and the PEN/Malamud Award for Excellence in Short Fiction. Her bestselling novels include We Were the Mulvaneys and Blonde.

    Anne Twomey is an accomplished actress of both stage and screen.  Her Broadway credits include Orpheus Descending, with Vanessa Redgrave, To Grandmother's House We Go, and Nuts, for which she received a Tony nomination and a Theatre World award.  Her many television appearances include guest roles on Seinfeld, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Cosby Show, Spin City, and the Christopher Reeves' movie-of-the-week Rear Window.  She has also appeared in the films Picture Perfect and Orpheus Descending. Anne appears frequently on New York-based episodic TV such as Third Watch and Law & Order.  Anne's many audiobook credits include works by such authors as Dean Koontz, Joyce Carol Oates, Tracy Chevalier, and Barbara Ehrenreich.  She is married to actor John Bedford Lloyd, also an audiobook narrator.

    Michael Boatman is an actor best known for his role as Carter Haywood on the hit sitcom Spin City. He has also had recurring roles on Gossip Girl, China Beach and HBO’s Arli$$. He has made many notable guest appearances on major network television shows, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Less Than Perfect, Scrubs, The Good Wife, and CSI: Miami. Michael’s audiobook recordings include novels by Dennis Lehane, Walter Mosley, and Richard North Patterson. In reviewing The Race, an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning book published by Macmillan Audio, AudioFile magazine stated, “Michael Boatman’s seamless delivery is crisp and clear.
