" I read on. And then it happens. On page 89. Mary is humiliated, and I know I have to step in. This is a great young adult novel based on Alice who, as the middle of five children, aligns herself with Mary (the middle daughter) of "Pride and Prejudice," and thus views the book as a tragedy. When her teacher offers to change her grade (an unacceptable C+) if she rereads the book and ...more
