I think this book would be ideal with children discovering their identity. I would utilize this book for 2 - 5 grade students. wonderful, vibrant book about the joys of styling hair to create your own look, your own personality. This is not a "how to" book, but rather a celebration - of girls creating their own images, of girls enjoying life. Great real pictures of real girls - full of joy and happiness.

DINAH JOHNSON has written several books for young readers. A professor of English literature at the University of South Carolina, Dinah lives with her daughter, Niani, in Columbia, South Carolina.
