Now this is what I'm talking about! Just because it's a game world tie in doesn't mean it has to suck, and Evolutions definitely does *not* suck. Well written, deep, dark and gritty, all of the stories bring some real heft to the table of Halo canon lore. If all game tie in fiction could be this... ...more

As I’ve said before, normally books off of video games are not something I would read. But for some reason, the ones written in the Halo universe are of an unexpected excellent quality. As with many short story collections, this one is hit or miss, but overall a great summer read. ...more

Yeah this is a good book, but I recommend it for fanboys only. There is a lot of jargon and history only a Halo fan can appreciate. Regardless a lot of good stories and just a heads up. About the Author

Various Authors

Tobias S. Buckell is the author of Halo: The Cole Protocol, Sly Mongoose, Ragamuffin and Crystal Rain. His books have been finalists for the Nebula Award, the Prometheus Award, and the Romantic Times Award for Best Science Fiction Novel. He hails from the Caribbean, where as a child he lived on boats in Grenada and the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. When he was a teenager, his family moved to Ohio after a series of hurricanes destroyed the boat they were living on, and he attended Bluffton University in Bluffton, Ohio, where he still lives today. Buckell fell in love with science fiction at a young age, reading Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov novels when he was seven years old. He is now a full-time author and freelancer.
