LINDA HANTRAIS is Professor of European Social Policy in the Department of Politics at Loughborough University. For many years she was Director of the European Research Centre at Loughborough University and in 2006 and 2007 she has been Visiting Fellow at the Centre for International Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  She is the author of Social Policy in the European Union (third edition).
