Feminisms and Development

Disrupting taken-for-granted assumptions, the Feminism and Development series re-defines issues at the heart of today’s feminist contestations in a development context. Bringing together a formidable collective of thinkers from the global South and the North, this series explores what it is that can bring about positive changes in women’s rights and realities.

These timely and topical collections reposition feminism within development studies, bringing into view commonalities across the countries of the global South that have so far been unrecognized.

Series Editor: Andrea Cornwall is Professor in anthropology and development at the University of Sussex, where she is an affiliate of the Centre for the Study of Sexual Dissidence and Director of the Pathways of Women’s Empowerment programme.
