The Were have always lived among humans, secretive, hidden. They are shape-changers, more wolf than human, who live in packs and guard their territories jealously.  They came from Europe to North America with the first English settlers; they are the secret of the lost Roanoke colony.  But today, human technology has made it hard for them to hide among us. Real ID and credit records and man’s legal systems are a new forest for the Were to navigate.   Andrew Dare is an Enforcer within the powerful Roanoke pack, whose territory encompasses the entire East Coast of the US.  When he meets a lost and tortured female Were who calls herself Silver, both their lives will be changed.
