Tobias S. Buckell is a Caribbean-born writer who grew up in Grenada, the United States, and the British Virgin Islands. He now lives in Bluffton, Ohio.
Tobias S. Buckell discusses the origin of his new novel, Sly Mongoose (Tor, August 19, 2008). The idea for the novel came from a speech by a NASA physicist describing how it's physically possible to have floating cities. Tobias took this inspiration and came up with a fantastic novel.
