WASHINGTON, D.C.

The limo pulled up to the front door of the Hay- Adams Hotel after a short jaunt across Lafayette Park. A Secret Ser vice agent standing there opened the passenger door. The president got out and walked into the hotel, accompanied by two agents. He didn't look right or left, just walked straight across the lobby to the elevators and went into the first one. One agent joined him. Together they rode in silence to the fourth floor. Another Secret Ser vice man was standing there by the elevators when the door opened.

This book by Coonts has Tommy Carmellini involved in a plot to catch the word’s most dangerous terrorist. A group of wealthy business owners have decided to declare war on the terrorists with Jake Grafton’s help. After killing several terrorists their cover is blown and they start to end up dead.... ...more

This is the first Stephen Coonts I've read. Liked the beginning but I pretty much had the end figured out about 1/3 thru. Skipped to the last 2 chapters and found out I was right. Bummer. Not sure if I'll read anymore from this author soon. I had high hopes because I like to try Colorado authors... ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. My wife picks up a random selection from the local library for me which means I read authors I have not heard of. Having read this I will certainly look for other books by Stephen Coonts.A very good plot with a nice unexpected twist at the end. ...more
