Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR)

In The Twins' Little Sister by award-winning picture book author Hyewon Yum, being twins means having two of almost everything: two twin beds, two polka-dot dresses, two dolls. But these two little girls have only one mom. This is a big problem. Soon there will be an even bigger problem: Mom is having a baby, and the twins will have a little sister. But Mom has only two arms. Who's going to hold the baby's hand? Luckily, once the baby arrives, the twins discover the pleasures of being big sisters. They also learn that there is more than enough love to go around. A Frances Foster Book

Praise for The Twins' Little Sister

“It's refreshing to see a new baby book that focuses on the effect on existing sibling dynamics, and the strong-willed twosome, with the text entirely in their dialogue, continues to be authentically endearing . ..” —BCCB

“. . . an appealing choice for any child dealing with a new sibling.” —Booklist

“Fans of the first book will be delighted that the blankets, along with the twins' favorite colors, pink and yellow, make an appearance in the stylistic and painterly mixed-media illustrations. This book has broad appeal for big sisters- and brothers-to-be as well as for twins.” —School Library Journal

“A fresh take on sibling-rivalry and new-baby themes.” —The Horn Book

“Readers of The Twins' Blanket will recognize the two adorable, identical twin girls in their polka-dot dresses . . . a spot-on look at sibling rivalry that will speak to multiples and singletons alike.” —Kirkus Reviews

“A sensitive, true-to-life story of a family's growth that never turns saccharine.” —Publishers Weekly starred review
