Praise for White Dynamite & Curly Kidd

"The double-page spreads are filled with action and energy-- cowboys on the boxes, rodeo clowns on the alert, the cantankerous bull twisting and bucking with Curly Kidd on his back. Dust, dirt, and grit fly. It all takes place under the wide expanse of a glorious blue sky that is as warm as the love and caring found in this exuberant story."--School Library Journal

"A young rodeo fan carries on a nervous dialogue with Dad, a champion performer who is about to board the back of White Dynamite, 'the meanest bull in the whole United States.'...Rand's pictures are vigorous and dynamic, easily conveying all the power and danger pent up in the bull."--Booklist

"A fine addition to any picture-book collection."--Kirkus Reviews
