About the Author
Bebe Moore Campbell was a journalist, teacher, and the New York Times bestselling author of Brothers and Sisters, Singing in the Comeback Choir, and What You Owe Me. In addition to these and other novels, Campbell wrote children's books, radio plays, a memoir (Sweet Summer), nonfiction (Successful Women, Angry Men), as well as numerous articles and essays. Many of her works reflected her interest in mental health and illness, especially that of women of color. She died in California in 2006.
