About the Author
Michael E. Addis, Ph.D., has published more than seventy articles and books. He is a recipient of the American Psychological Association's David Shakow Award and the New Researcher Award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. He is the author of Invisible Men: Men's Inner Lives and the Consequences of Silence. Addis is a professor of psychology at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, and lives in central Massachusetts.

Where are you from? Actually hard to answer. Born in Oklahoma, raised in L.A., and have lived in the Northwest and the Northeast.
Who are your favorite writers? T.C. Boyle, Philip Roth, John Updike, Tom Wolfe,
Which book/books have had the biggest influence on your writing? Too many to count!
What are your hobbies and outside interests? I have been an avid musician since I was a young child.
What is the single best piece of advice anyone ever gave you? If you can't decide which path to choose, take the one with more forks down the road.

What is the question most commonly asked by your readers? What is the answer? Are men and women really that different? The answer is no, but we're expected to be, and strive to be.
What inspired you to write your first book ?The creeping recognition that scientific research only goes so far in changing the world. I wanted to reach more people directly.
