About the Author

Robert Wexler was a Democratic congressman representing Florida's 19th district from 1997 to 2010. A member of the House Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, and Financial Services committees, he was named "Most Valuable Congressman" by The Nation in 2007 and one of "The 50 Most Effective Legislators in Congress" by Congressional Quarterly. He is now president of the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace. He is author of the book Fire-Breathing Liberal. He and his wife, Laurie, have three children.
