Dek Elstrom Mysteries

Jack Fredrickson’s A Safe Place for Dying (Shamus Award nominee, Pearl Pick, Starred Review in Publishers Weekly) introduced turret dweller and oddball private investigator Dek Elstrom to mystery readers worldwide. Set in the present, in a crooked town just a few crooked miles from even more crooked Chicago, subsequent titles in the series (Honestly Dearest, You’re Dead; Hunting Sweetie Rose; and The Dead Caller from Chicago) have earned starred reviews and critical praise from the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
