Q & A

Eight Questions for Jim Ottaviani
What’s your favorite book?
In terms of what I re-read the most, The Princess Bride. (It’s tied with many other favorites.)
If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what one piece of media would you take with you?  If it isn’t your favorite book, explain how you came to this peculiar decision.
Well, since it’s a desert island I’d better choose a book, since it’s hard to imagine getting much use out of an mp3 player or DVD or vinyl record if there’s no source of electricity. And since I’m shipwrecked, it better be a big book so I can use it as shelter and/or kindling, as needed. So I’ll go with the 11th edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica. If I’m only allowed one volume, Moby Dick.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate Peanut Butter
How are you planning to survive the zombie apocalypse?
I’ll stick with Zombieland’s rule #1: “Cardio”.
What’s your favorite word?
If you suddenly fell into a dimensional vortex and ended up in 1529, what profession would you adopt?
Black or white?  Cats or dogs?  Apples or oranges?  Robots or vampires?
Neither. Both. Oranges. Robots.
What’s the worst fortune cookie advice you ever got?  Did you take it?
23 46 12 19. And no, I didn’t.
