About the Author
Munro Price was born in London in 1963. He was educated there and at Cambridge, where he received his Ph.D. He specializes in eighteenth-century France and the French Revolution and has lived and taught in Lyon and Paris. He is currently a Reader in History at the University of Bradford. He is the author of The Perilous Crown: Ruling France 1814-1848, The Road to Apocalypse: The Extraordinary Journey of Lewis Way, and The Road from Versailles, which was previously published under the title The Fall of the French Monarchy.
