I grew up in Marin County.  I’ve always enjoyed drawing.  After spending most of my college years etching I began painting still life and sharing my work in galleries, supporting myself by cooking in some way or other.  I made comical cards for friends’ birthdays and labels for their olive oil.

Ann Arnold has illustrated several books for children. She lives in Berkeley, California.
