Eight Questions for Carla Jablonski
What’s your favorite book?
How can I pick just one?!?! I have favorites for different moods, times of my life, time of day…. Some of these have been (in no particular order): Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie, The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fford, A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby, loads of historical fiction, lots of reference books (I LOVE reference books) and of course, my well-loved, well-used cookbooks: the list is endless and changes constantly….
If you were shipwrecked on a desert island, what one piece of media would you take with you? If it isn’t your favorite book, explain how you came to this peculiar decision.
A DVD player and a subscription to Netflix. OR a blank notebook.
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
How are you planning to survive the zombie apocalypse?
With my great culinary skills I will introduce them to foods OTHER than human brains and although I am not personally a vegetarian, I think converting the zombies to a vegan way of life would help all of humanity.
What’s your favorite word?
If you suddenly fell into a dimensional vortex and ended up in 1529, what profession would you adopt?
Black or white? Cats or dogs? Apples or oranges? Robots or vampires?
Black, cats (and black cats), apples, vampires
What’s the worst fortune cookie advice you ever got? Did you take it?
Okay, this is the total and absolute truth: I once went on a first date with a guy I knew was sort of scared of me, so I took pity and said yes, since I knew how hard it had been for him to ask me out. My fortune cookie said “It is better to be loved than feared.” HIS fortune cookie said “Your plan will succeed tonight.” (I kid you not!!!!!!) So thanks to those cookies we ended up going out for awhile. Serious serious mistake.
