Carl Boggs

Carl E. Boggs is a Professor of Social Sciences and Film Studies at National University in Los Angeles. The author of 17 books, including most recently The Crimes of Empire (2010), The Hollywood War Machine (2008), and Imperial Delusions (2006), he has written extensively on social and political theory, American politics, European politics, and social movements. In 2006, he was recipient of the Charles McCoy Career Achievement Award by the American Political Science Association, and previously was Chair of the Caucus for a New Political Science. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, he has taught at Washington University – St. Louis, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC – Irvine, Carleton University, and Antioch University.
