Hafizullah Emadi

Hafizullah Emadi was born in Shibar, Bamiyan province, Afghanistan. He received a Doctorate degree from the University of Hawaii-Manoa. Since then Emadi taught in the University of Hawaii System, joined the East-West Center’s International Relations Program as a fellow in March 1990 and was awarded a fellowship at the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Kennan Institute in 1999. A published poet, Emadi is the author of a number of books and articles and continues to write on the state and politics of development in Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
