Rana Hasan

RANA HASAN is an Economist with the Development Indicators and Policy Research Division of the Economics and Research Department of the Asian Development Bank (Manila, Philippines). His research interests lie in exploring the impact of market-oriented economic reforms on productivity growth and labor market outcomes. He has examined the impact of trade and industrial policies on returns to scale and productivity in Indian firms. More recently, he has examined the linkages between trade liberalization and wage inequality and the relationships between trade liberalization, labor regulations, and the demand for industrial labor. He worked as a Fellow in the Research Program of the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii during 2000-2003.
