Rashné Rustom Jehangir

Rashné Rustom Jehangir is Associate Professor in the Department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, USA. She earned her PhD in Higher Education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Previously, Jehangir spent 10 years as an academic advisor in the TRiO program, where she advised, taught, and mentored primarily first-generation students and other historically underserved students. She also served as a learning community coordinator for the college where she developed and implemented curriculum for learning communities. Her research interests include access, retention, and graduation of low-income, first-generation students, and the transformation of teaching and learning to address intellectual, social, emotional, and student development. In addition to her research, Jehangir teaches undergraduate interdisciplinary courses in a first-year program and graduate courses focused on multicultural teaching and learning in diverse postsecondary contexts.
