Sean Field

Sean Field is the Director of the Centre for Popular Memory at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a Senior Lecturer in the Historical Studies Department. He has widely published on apartheid forced removals, African refugees, oral history methodology, and trauma and memory. Publications include Lost Communities, Living Memories: Remembering Forced Removals in Cape Town (2001) and Imagining the City: Memories and Cultures in Cape Town (2007).
