Tariq Moraiwed Tell

Tariq Moraiwed Tell is a political economist and independent researcher. Previous publications include the edited Village, Steppe and State: the Social Origins of Modern Jordan and the Resilience of Hashemite Rule: Politics and the State in Jordan before 1967. He divides his time between Beirut and Amman, where his current research focuses on the agrarian origins of protest in the contemporary Arab world and the comparative and historical political economy of development in Western Asia.
