Explorers: Dinosaurs

Explorers

Kingfisher

Explorers are designed to stimulate readers in the early elementary grades (ages 6–8), who are beginning to exercise wider reading, research and cross-referencing skills. They can be read from page to page, or – as a fun extra element – the reader can follow special ‘page links’ to access information on related topics. Six fabulous artwork scenes are each followed up with photographic information spreads, which provide extra detail and background. Dinosaurs is a time-travelling adventure, visiting these favourite prehistoric creatures – from huge, gentle vegetarians to dynamic pack-hunters and spectacular, bloodthirsty predators.

Praise for Explorers: Dinosaurs

Newton's Book News
[A]n informative book that's kid friendly with full-page art that's so lively children will not put this book down!

NSTA Recommends
[T]his is like an internet scavenger hunt in book form. Although students aren't using a mouse and clicking through web pages, it is interactive and may help reluctant, struggling readers become interested in reading science.

Library Media Connection
Explorers is a unique references series. Along with many facts, illustrations, and information-filled pages, the reader will find more information in the borders and sidebars. . . . students will want to read it over and over, especially your dinosaur lovers.
